Last weekend, Outstanding in the Field brought their roving restaurant to Woodland Gardens, a highly professional organic farm that has been with us from the beginning. Alongside Kyle Jacovino from Five & Ten, we served guests a meal showcasing the food grown all around them–the incredible work of our dear friend Celia Barss.
It’s one thing to talk about farm-to-table, but it’s a whole new experience to bring the table back to the farm, and to witness first-hand how it can change your perspective on where our food should be coming from. Since 1999, Outstanding in the Field has been doing just that. Their mission is to re-connect diners to the land and the origins of their food, and to honor the local farmers and food artisans who cultivate it.
