There will be fresh fruits and veggies, baked goods, jams/jellies, crafts and more! The first market will also feature kid activities, pony rides, a local DJ, gardening workshop, cooking demo, body composition screenings, and more! The West Broad Farmers Market will take place on the 1st Saturday of every month (May – December) from 10am – 1pm! There will also be a Farmers Tailgate Market every Tuesday from 4pm-7pm starting May 7th that will just sell fresh fruits and veggies. The markets will accept debit and EBT cards. All EBT dollars will be DOUBLED! The goals for the market are to develop new food- based entrepreneurs and build a neighborhood-based economy in the Hancock Corridor community; expand access to and consumption of healthy foods; serve as an additional retail outlet for undeserved farmers and small food-based business owners; serve as a community resource and gathering space for the Hancock Corridor community; serve as a model and demonstration site for the County and Region and provide an additional source of fresh affordable produce.
